kaskade wet room tray. 2mm out!!!!

The tray looks similar to a Tuff2, I tanked the tray with a fleece membrane into the trap...did notice there is a mega adhesive for that purpose I would think it would need the same or is the trap water tight connecting to the tray.

Just re-read the instructions and the mega glue is for sticking the tray down and using for the extra noggins where required, I would tape between the tray and floor and perhaps extend any tanking further out where the shower may be open at one end, if thats how it's going to work.

this system doesnt come with the fleece membrane, its a roll on. I have sealed all pipes with pipe weld but havent connected the trap yet. In 2 minds t use pipe weld or high strength sealent.

Will tank more of the floor as you suggest.

Theres already cement backer board in this bathroom, 18mm thick. Going to prime the shower area and tank afterwards with sealing all joints at the bottom with the tanking tape. Wondering if i should use the roll on membrane for the tanking tape or just the tanking sealer. Another thing thats popped into my head, why is i ive to use the roll on membrane on the tray if the tray is already waterproof.

I would make the extra effort to go around and cut 2mm groves and chisel out so it sits right.
Maybe use a multi tool in addition to the chisel. If you don't, then your compromising on what you want and it'll bug you!

just going to lay it on the joists because the floor isnt even level so going to lay the no more ply with flexi addy and slope it into the tray because if i just screw it to the floor with the glue, it will fall away from the wet tray.

With the Tuff2 the membrane forms into the trap, yes the hard plastic tray is waterproof but is the trap unless it has it's own waterproofing seal.

going to seal the trap with Silicon or pipe weld when screwing it on. Bit like a shower tray trap
