good luck for the rest of your lives jimbob , iv got three doughters at uni & one son at home and im still paying out !! for all of them, i think you pay for the rest of your lives m8 still they are your family after all :lol::lol: :welcome:to life

To purchase the best, most expensive Aston Martin over approx 18 years on finance is much cheaper in the long run. Also the monthly payments can be written off against your business, and the new Ruby tools will be by your side every day helping out - not giving you sleepless nights, dirty nappies, being sick every so often, not asking for money and wants every 5 minutes and very hard to exchange or sell.
But I have never dreamed of swaping any of my 5 children for a beautiful new Aston Martin.
P.S. 😳Liar....

My eldest just left for Uni last week. For the first time in forever years I have milk in the fridge and chocolate biscuits in the cupboard, my electricity bills took a dive as the lights, telly and xbox aren’t left on all night, my washing machine wont be used just to wash that special ‘must-wear’ shirt anymore, and the shower isn’t used umpteen times a day now.
So don’t worry, in about 19 years you can go shopping for Rubi tools again!
Stan

Stan look on the bright side - what would you rather have....
To be telling all your friends that you have a son that you are proud of getting into University or
Telling your friends that you never get to play the xbox, watch the TV when you want, have fresh milk in your tea, stuff myself with chocolate and biscuits, and worst of all I found that I could never find my socks.
Now you have a win win situation, well done to your son.

jimbob forgot to mention grab all the sleep you can now ///// on arival that goes out the window too:8:

just be thankful he didn't stay at home and go to uni locally, like I did

… now on the other hand Jim …. there is no way in hell that I would have learnt how to skateboard in my fourties if I didn’t have kids!!!

Unfortunately I could never skateboard as a kid. As for the getting lots of sleep, no chance - I'm having sleepless nights over the kitchen floor tiling with UFH!!!

jimbob

is the mrs making you do all the diy before the baby is born then?

:20:

That's the plan!
Crikey, she's a hard taskmaster! Still, it's quite good learning new skills, and by the end of these projects, i'll be a master tiler, master joiner and mast builder

All the best mate, just bear in mind you'll spend money to make sure they have the best, ( as it should be ), they'll become teenagers insult you , ignore you and rob you blind at every turn they will also never admit to any damage to your home or belongings even with hard evidence ( car scraped and render missing from house , other than that ( wife has just caught me typing:thumbsdown:) apparently it's worth it:smilewinkgrin::smilewinkgrin::smilewinkgrin:. If you can stand the constantly emptying wallet syndrome.

Well Master Craftsman - any updates ? ETA still the same? You can not announce a new arrival on its way and then keep us in the dark :incazzato:

baby is still about 6 weeks Ramag, from what I recall. not long tho. Mrs Jimbob is making Jimbob work very hard to get everything perfect

Yes, sorry, GRR is right - about 6 weeks to go now. I would probably be feeling nervous if Mrs Jimbob was letting me have 5 minutes to myself at home! :mad2:

:lol: the next few weeks will shoot by and before you know it, bang, sleepless nights, stinky nappies, nappy rash, baby puke everywhere and clutter that you have no idea how to hide

Nah, it'll be a doddle! I've heard that babies sleep for 20 hours in every 24. How hard can that be?!

And we already have clutter - the mrs is a master of clutter :mad2:

yes, but the 4 where they are not asleep is usually the 4 hours you and mrs jimbob will actually want to sleep!

I've not known a baby yet that slept for 20 hours a day.

Jimbob, I wonder how many of these caring friends will offer to baby-sit for you, they all show so much knowledge and interest in you well being. If half of the info is true you must be puling your hair out. So at least we all know that Tilers are the nearest thing to a Mid-wife. :hurray::hurray::hurray::hurray::hurray::hurray:

Jim you cant put a value on kids sure mine would be on the cheep-side lol but Mums can come and go best thing ever and thats not there mums he he
