So are we saying ignore BS of 15mm min WBP ply?
I have never used less than 22mm straight onto joists.

12mm ply is ok for overboarding but not as a sole substrate:8:

Doug is saying 12mm is ok for overboarding existing substate, eg sound t&g or chipboard. Providing there is no deflection, same as backer-board.
