yes, those old vinyl tiles will be lifted off--leaves behind some black adhesive .. hope the adhesive I've bought sets ok??
so you see there, the first tile on the left has two points of contact, tight to the wall. the third tile to the right has about a 1cm gap from the wall as that wall it not straight to the main wall. the far end tile to the right is about 5cm short of going under the units.
how else would you lay those tiles? (with minimal cuts)

it's really hard to say without seeing the room as a whole but I would put roughly half a tile up against the wall under the rad, this would leave you with roughly half a tile showing up to the kicker board and roughly half a tile along the wall with the level lent against it. length wise I can't see from the pics so couldn't say either way

this is a proper confusing post after a long day lol:lol: Think of your room like a chess board , centered exactly in the centre of the room then the perimeter tiles all around the edge of the room will surely be a cut of some size or other :smilewinkgrin: if they are exactly all full tiles , then you are a luckier man than I :mad2: Put a lottery ticket and do me a line while your at it :smilewinkgrin:

Oh yeah skirting after :thumbsup:
