I hate having knee pads strapped to me as well.
The Alpro Knee cusion and pads from Tradetiler are the pads pads around. I don't strap on the knee pads i just move them around. These aint cheap, but really look after your knees.
Just had a look. That does look good. Strange that the pad is a lot cheaper than the pads.

Alpro knee pads here.. have the cushion as well but cannot get away with it , like Neale say's it is a chew to keep shifting it about and the spacing between the kneeling points is to close together IMO.

The good thing about Alpro pads is they do not dig into the back of the knees like other straps do, i cannot recommend them enough but i do know that the design does not always work for others.. but deffo worth a try.
