hi mate....use an spf adhesive and lightly back skim the tiles to avoid shadowing through the glass's back...straight cuts as usual and wet cut any shapes...i use a blade designed for wet cutting glass called a CVG blade and these can be obtained from rubi....If using in a kitchen check the instructions that come with them or manufactures..because not all glass tiles are suitable for use behind gas cookers as they can shatter with the heat..when grouting use a fine sanded grout specifically for glass etc..as some grouts will scratch the glass...and it needs to be flexi to adhere to the tiles edges.....good luck and post us some pics in the gallery..i would like to see these as i use glass quite a bit and like to see what applications it used in...:) ......dave...

there are white ceramic tiles on both ends of the shower with the glass on the back wall.....so i should be able to hide any chips with the ceramics......i wil post some pics if i dont break all the tiles and have to leg it down the road with my ruby under my arm.
dave......i did the pebble floor with mosaics on the wall last week, turned out nice, will post some pics of that.....have to go back next week to grout up...customer not sure what colour they would like....changed there mind every day, bless

Dave, would appreciate a bit of advice on a small repair job I've got to do for an old client. They had a new kitchen fitted including tiling (not by me). They used glass tiles about 150 x 75, not particularly well done but ok, problem is that the tiles on the window cill have lifted due, I think, to expansion. They have come of the cill and bowed upwards, several have cracked. So whats the fix ? reset with SPF ? Leave expansion joint at each end ?. Appreciate your comments mate.
Cheers, Nick

hi nick..you will have to check the cill and see exactly why this has happened..it could well be expansion with it being a cill which will get direct sunlight or if behind a sink could well be moisture ingression...strip the tile off and examine the cill too see if its swelled..if not then yes tile with a flexi adhesive and use Silicon expansion to sides and back of tile where they meet the window frame...if the cill has blown then i would remove and rebuild with backerboard and then re-tile as above.....good luck and let us know how you get on..........dave..

Hi mate, the kitchen was fitted by a builder/chippy who's a friend of the client, think he/they did the tiling also. None of the work they've done is of a particularly high standard, ok but not great, we are just finishing a complete refit of an en-suite bathroom and the client is getting us to put right a whole load of niggles they have around the house. I think they think its easier to pay us to redo stuff than have the awkward situation of getting friends back to put stuff right. Money doesn't seem to be too much of an issue.
