This is my own kitchen ( still not finished yet)
The red glass tiles are 450mm x 150mm & the cream tiles are 500mm x 250mm, i wanted something different from smaller tiles in the kitchen & i thought this was a good compromise. sorry not great pics.
 
R.M - thanks for that, given me a few more ideas that has.
Dave, I think that is the plan now, but if I make her think I am not happy about it but letting her have her own way then there should* be even more brownie points

Hmmm... she may get her way after all then. Just as she has with the worktop, the cupboards, the floor and the walls!
Bolter; that looks pretty good, thanks for the pics :thumbsup:
The only problem I see now would be having the weight of the tiles on the wall. They are plaster/skimmed plasterboard which obviously could not take the weight of heavy floor tiles (20kg-28kg/m2 depending on the plaster used I believe?).
just because they're large format doesn't mean the weight per metre is any more than smaller format tiles
