I have used Ardex S16, Ardex 7001, Mapei Keraquick and even Profix rapid set flexi (but wouldn't recommend the profix) for 600's that I have done. I've been considering using a PTB but find it difficult to source locally .

Yes go BAL PTB or Rapidset Flex … and go get yourself a thick bed solid bed trowel. (I’d buy a Rubi or a BAL trowel, both make a really nice thick bed solid bed trowel)

... well at least you need flex if its over a wood floor or UFH.
