largest floor tiles

Hi im not a tiler,so help needed please, what is the largest floor tiles you can buy as im trying to cut down on the grout lines, after talking her indoors out of karndean type flooring,weve got a white kitchen with black galaxy granite worktops and roughly 22 sq mts of flooring so any help with colours would be great many thanks for any replies

Hi you can get 1200x1200 floor tiles,some companies are doing thin porcelain in sizes upto 3 metres x 1 metre but these are only suitable for solid floors,Grespania do a nice range called Meteor look it up the Nero semi polished is nice with that worktop and they do it in 800x800

Get your money out is my bit of advice if you're thinking of having these type of tile because they're on the more expensive side of cheap, oh yes and almost forgot don't break one and try not to cut any wrong

900x900 1200x600 are a one man lay the 5.5mm makes them easy to handle the 1800x 900 are a two man lay or one man and aprentice with brains .

scary stuff.... can't make mistake cutting or installing ... I'm on project where I will be fitting 1000x1000x20, 1000x1400x20 marble on walls and floor. And I do all templates and drawings. If I make mistake, I better leave UK :lol:

that is what I'm saying... had 3000x1200x4 tiles and had to cut it down to 2500x1000 and fit it. Not easy at all , Ray. And my arms are extra long :lol:, sadly, only two....

what did you cut them with. were they fibra glass backed

angle grinder... used masking tape and cut very carefully. I will actually will be going to that house next Friday, so will take some pictures

next time give me a ring will lend you a cutter that will cut them in less than 10 seconds no dust and leave a perfect cut
