Lasers and there confusion

i use a pls180, excellent laser levels
as bugs, dont rate the floor laser squares one bit ..dewalt dw060k was next to useless and the laser liner wasnt much either...

dewalts dw088k is good too and the hilti.
I have the Dewalt 088k.....and the 060k(discontinued)......and I have to be honest......the 060k (floor square).......saves me days and works really well.......but then again....its all in the user....not in the product....

I also have a bosch 3 way floor square......the beam is too short....its made of plastic.....and it has a third beam (dw060k does not!).......but it does have it uses!

all in the user?? lol you press a button mate and you get two lines. one which extends about 8ft if you are lucky and the other one, well next to nothing...why do you think they discontinued them?? ;0)

yeah its all in being able to read a beam ED.....I think you got a dodgy one..........I have tiled warehouses with my (two)......and never had a problem........and I have lots of lazers.....my lot swear by them!

and they are being discontinued proberbly because there is a small demand.....mainly because peeps dont know how to use or even understand What they are for......

no names mentioned.......ps glad you are back!!!!!.....

was that aimed at me?.........proberbly not...it will be aimed at other "tilers" on this site!!!!........but I am very familiar with 3*4*5.........its a pointless excercise in 2013 because we have lazer square's that can do it in a fraction of the time...........oh and I still own a chalk line.......and I use it almost daily........to mark my 060k laser line!!!!!!.........I even use hairspray and every thing.....

no it wasn't aimed at you lol
look, we all like and use different methods..as long as we all do a good job, get paid and the customers happy, then that's all that matters..

and oi, stop using that hairspray, you'll end up bald! ;0)
ps i know you use to stop your chalk lines getting rubbed off too..

The laser floor squares are great when you're tiling through a doorway where there's no way of doing a 3 4 5. Only really use mine for setting out then strike lines from it. Definitely saves time but no substitute for a chalk line.
