hi guys working with leonardo floor tiles porcelian, they just wont snap with the sigma cutter, is there another way of cutting them, other than putting them through the water saw,,, maybe score them, then angle grind the line that needs cut, put back on the cutter and snap them,,, its takin far to long running everyone of em through the water saw, and am thinking maybe there is a better way of doing it??? HOPEFULLY!!!!!!!!!!

Have you tried scoring the tile 2 or 3 times instead of 1? Sometimes that does the trick.

scibe then use pin hammer at each end of scibe chip a piece out at each end then tap the back of the tile in centre with the pin hammer

cheers ray ill try that to, it worth ago!! na pete il stick with sigma, not to sure of the rubi tools!!

As Bri said. Give it 2-3 scores then when you go to break it put one hand on the handle towards the front keeping the pressure on then with your other hand whack the end of the handle and this should do it. A quick sharp shock works lovely.

Leonardo Casia Beige !!!!!!!!!The hardest bloody tiles I have ever cut.I tried every way of scoring with my sigmas, a mate give up on a big rubi too.I ended up throwing a cheap blade in my sigma 10m and cut away.A pain in the rear, you need marble rates for laying them. The new sigma max series might cut them?Armatile stock and distribute these tiles.

After scoring the tile two or three times try putting hand pressure either side of the tile and push firmly down ,I do this on hard tiles but use a Rubi tr60.

thats them hillhead, got in armatile newry,, tried everything,,, with scoring 3 times then cutting an inch at each side, then put back in sigma cutter, they MIGHT break, was just quicker to use watersaw,,, distaster of a tile to cut!!!definatly need marble rates, plus it takes months of the water saw blade!!!!
cheers for the help guys!!
