licence to carry waste

Thought i would post this for anyone that carries there waste in transport from any site.
As of April everyone will be required to have in place a waste carriage licence.
Not sure if this has already been posted.

Go check as this could become very costly if you are without 1.

Yeah I have one but wont be renewing it. I will just inform the client I cant transport waste.

Its been a requirement for some time to have a 3 year waste carriers licence - even if you are a tiler. I include in my terms and conditions:

Waste disposal – The contractor is happy to move and bag (if possible) all waste generated from the work, to place in a suitable location on the premises (or garden). Arrangements for disposal of the waste are the responsibility of the customer. Any hazardous waste (plasterboard is identified as hazardous) will be separately bagged.
However, I do bend the rules slightly if the customer is elderly or infirm.
