Its been a requirement for some time to have a 3 year waste carriers licence - even if you are a tiler. I include in my terms and conditions:

Waste disposal – The contractor is happy to move and bag (if possible) all waste generated from the work, to place in a suitable location on the premises (or garden). Arrangements for disposal of the waste are the responsibility of the customer. Any hazardous waste (plasterboard is identified as hazardous) will be separately bagged.
However, I do bend the rules slightly if the customer is elderly or infirm.
