Limestone Skirting??

Hello all

I tiled our conservatory a while back in 20mm thick tumbled limestone. It is layed in an opus romano pattern.

Now... time has come to decorate the conservatory and as I have a bit of stone left over I am wondering... should I use the left over to make some skirting?

a few Q's..

As the floor is opus romano pattern... what is the most acceptable way to pattern the skirting? in line with the floor pattern or just equal lengths and not to worry about lining up with the floor joints?... or... no skirting at all?

It's tumbled limestone, v v v good quality and not sharp edged.. but would it be advisable to get the top edge bullnosed? Can I do this myself or will I have to contract this out?

whats your view on skirting in natural stone? can it make or break a room? and is there a specific height guideline it should be?

Hey up Dave, I think it would look great. Follow the grout lines through if you can (providing it doesn't leave you with tiny fiddly bits) also get the tops rounded off or a half bullnose if you can, you will need specialist tools for a half bullnose.
