As the guys above have suggested. Whilst ply has many pluses in strength and rigidity, when it comes to tiling the two things that run against it are expansion and contraction and delamination.
Back in the day I constructed a rugby club shower room using Aquapanel in 2400x1200x12.5 sheets. They weighed the best part of 40KG a sheet and would collapse under their own weight if not handled by 4 people.
That's why you don't find it that size any longer.
The 1200x900 sheets are just fine, it means you need a bit more framework and a few more noggins where the joins are but it then give you nearly 50kg/m2 of fixing structure, which is just where you want to be for stone. And the big plus is it's not effected by moisture and has no expansion issues at all.
