Bead of silicone on the top and bottom edges of the mosiacs will at least provide you with a graduated finish intead of the step.

The top and bottom parts have grout on. Do u think it will be ok to bup a bead of silicon on?

Is it left with a step or is it gradual with the grout. I personally wouldn't want to see silicone around a room like that sorry.
