Just an update on this thread....Thanks for all you replies so far..
Having just spoken with said Lady .. She was compelled ( against my advice) to let the Tiler carry on as he assured her all will be ok(like hell it will)..
Well anyway it gets worse.... After he had grouted the floor.. She noticed a wet patch on her ceiling below!!...( They say the proof is in the pudding)..
She has now insisted on the Tiler and Plumber who wanted to second fix! (Wickes subbies) to Stop and not return until she has had a survey done and also she has involved legal...

Disgusting, and looking back at the first set up photos, all dot and dabbed by the looks of it. I hope she can get the resolution here that she deserves and hope she doesn't end up out of pocket, do they pay up front ?

Yes Local.. All money paid upfront..usual Sham...She has another Bathroom ( again paid for) that was to be done by them.. Needless to say , that ain't happening..

What kind of vetting process do they have?

I'm guessing he may have turned up with a portfolio of work... Not necessarily his and boom walked into jobs providing "quality" tradesmanship to unsuspecting clients. Total sham. And what a shame for the poor girl. Bathrooms don't come cheap either.
