anyone got lpg in there van or ever considered getting converted,,seems you can cut your fuel bill in half prob pay the installation price in 2 years on your savings....food for thought

i looked at already converted 4x4's Jamie. not that much more expensive to buy than petrol or diesel counterparts, so quite realistic. i wouldn't consider having a conversion done myself though.

I saw an LPG price at around 65p per litre or something like that. nice price.

yes lpg is 60 p here, the conversion is around 1200 quid

We got LPG mainly because everytime we were going into London, we were paying the congestion charges. We are now exempt, so its already paid for itself. However, the fuel costs havent gone down, but you cant have everything...

lpg claim that it uses 10 percent more than normal petrol to go same distance is this a fabrication of sorts:lol:

if your thinking about doing it on the van dont bother, you will lose a large area of the van space as it needs a tank that is much more space-consuming than an already lpg ready motor.

A lot of the tanks go in the spare wheel well in cars and a space saver fitted instead. I looked at getting my old V12 bmw converted but it was too much money and the performance wouldnt have been the same. Had the boot large enough to fit a tank though and some tools
