hacking cough, blocked sinuses, eyes like golfballs, ears feel like they want to pop? Yep the dreaded lurgy and I'm suffering and believe me, it's worse than man flu:yikes::yikes: Anybody else in this state of necrosis??

so it's not just me who, when in flu mode, feels like my eyes have turned to golf balls then

i'm just recovering from everything you said bar the blocked sinuses doug. it's a virus doing the rounds. i'm still coughing my lungs up in a morning, but the rest is almost over and done with now :yesnod:

it started on thursday evening with me started to feel ok today.......kept the worst at bay with a couple or 6 hot toddies per night

I started with a sore throat on Saturday 2nd October Doug. cold and shivery on the sunday, sore throat and ears felt like they were about to explode on the monday, by that point I had been to see the quack who assured me it was just a virus and told me to take a couple of days off (I didn't) and then I just moved on to the Beechams all in one liquid during the day and Night Nurse during the night. and every so often I would swap in 1000mg of paracetomol instead of the liquid medicine as you're not supposed to have too many doses in 24 hours. I was starting to feel much better by the Wednesday but I'm still not fully right just yet. I've still got rubbish coming up off my chest and a nice tickly cough.

I succumbed friday and went back to work yesterday for a few hours and same today to get job finished

off tommorrow and starting next job thurs

I was rough fri, sat and sun,then mon and today just feel washed out , eyes are still sore and im still coughing but feel ok in myself

Damn! looks like I've got a few days of it left then, I started with it on Sunday although I was out Saturday night so I thought it may have been a hangover:lol:

im spending a day on my allotment tommorrow, that will sweat it out

digging up and clearing 6ft high weeds LOL

i have had it for over a week now and have the same symptoms as Liz says, still have the cough and fell really tired and headachy going to have a couple of whiskies tonight and hope for the best tomorrow, definitely a man flu type virus which effects the male species worse than the female
