just to let people know that i picked up an 18v cordless makita dill with 2 batteries and a 101 drill piece kit included in the box for 99 quid from B and Q. thought id share this as i think its a very good deal if anyones after a new drill.:santa_cheesy:

B and Q have a cracking deal on at the moment, two makita drills, ( one combi, one drill driver) 2 batterys, 1 charger in a plastic moulded carry case all for £98 inc vat
Bought myself 4 cases, 2 weeks ago for the plastering training centre and they are excellent

I use the ryobi one system wich i find great,but makita is awsome stuff and when srcewfix/B&Q have got them on offer its a bonus.

I bought a ryobi drill once, accidently droped it and broke it straight away, the thing got stuck in forward gear, the makitas you can bounce them all over the place and still be sure its gonna work, you get what you pay for

I got a Bosch 24v from b&q a while back with spare battery £97 goes straight through brick/stone no problem.

I use and abuse my ryobi stuff and its not let me down yet (touch wood) infact i use my combi drill to mix addy up not all the time or big full 25kg bags (i`ve got a large mixer for big stuff) but if i`m only using half a bag for small job,:santa_cheesy:

there are "18v makitas and there are 18v makitas"and i would bet money that a £280 drill is bettter than a £100 drill,all drill manufacturers do many versions of a given voltage,its all down to what you are going to use the drill for,imo,that said as Craig points out it is a good deal an thx for sharing it wit the forum as i am sure there are many on here who would not think to link B&Q with good deals(me included).
I also agree with BDS and think ryobi are good quality,maybe darren is a bit heavy handed lol.
ps. if any one is interested in a 24v hilti,2 batts,ect,i have one for sale :santa_cheesy:

Take it from me Dave, I've got one and never actually USE the 3rd battery if I'm close to a power socket
