hello,are these silicones acid free?

ive never had an issue at all, just somethign i read yesterday on the back of a pci siliocne cartridge has brougth this question up:thumbsup:

Mapesil AC isn't acetic free but Mapesil LM is the one for Acetic sensitive stone etc...

Not sure... Jamie.. but IMO only very white limestone and some marbles are effected by the acetic.. and some silicones contain solvent and that can bleed as well.. One good thing is mapesil AC is solvent free.

Nicobond do a range of Silicon for stone and comes in a 4 or 5 colours if I remember right.....

Weber do a Silicon for stone as well as their normal one, I would assume that this one would be???

Weber's Silicon should be the same as Dow Corning, as they supply it for them.
