not impressed with it .used it on a floor 600 300 porcelain and found it too creamy not powdery. Set quick on the tile surface and stayed wet between joint .last time using it.any body have same experience. Ps .the sponge was well rinsed so it wasnt a case of over watering the joint cheers

Last week I did spoke with mapei rep. At trade day in CTD Cardiff about problem with their grout. Did say that i mix grout to the instruction on the back of packaging. Was told that its best to mix it with even less water than minimum required and to remix it few times before using so all pigments and polymers are mixed well. So there will be no shading and problems with drying.

Not a great fan of it....used the anthracite a few times ...it dose go off quick which seems to be the opposite most other grouts.....as long as you keep on top of it its ok....i do prefer to use bal though.

Just used the Silver Grey on Porcenalosa plank tiles - walls and floor- and found it excellent.

Can't stand the stuff, i know some tilers love it but for me i get nothing but problems with it.

I did find mixing it stiffer worked better...

used it a few times and find it gets wetter whilst working with it ?or is it me :rolleyes5:

I had this problem by mixing by hand, started mixing it tighter with a paddle & it worked a treat.
It's not the best grout I have used but it gets the job done.
Switch to TileMaster grout 3000, excellent gear.

The Tilemaster grout range can be a bit limited
When I let the customer look at my range of grout swatches I let them make the choice(on colour)
and 7 out of 10 times they will pick a Mapei grout!

Have started to get used to it always used Bal ,tend to use UCP on porcelain, and kera color on ceramic, but do find it sometimes goes a bit patchy when dry.
