i have a small glass fibre pool to tile with Kerapoxy ,any tips for me guys ,as i have not used much of this to date ,whats the coverage for mosaic ?:mad2:

No idea actually Dave, Rarely use mosaic if I can help it and havent done any Epoxy grouting for a while now....and I like it that way

well a few years ago when we when on that mapie -day Neil i thought it looked surprisingly easy to work with, but it comes in 10 kg unites and that sounds like a lot of mosaic fixing in one go,i think you get about 60 minuets laying time , i might get a small scales and break it down.....lol

You talking Kerapoxy adhesive or Kerapoxy grout?

The adhesive shouldn't be too bad as long as you're a clean worker. Used to fix a lot of 300x300 floors in epoxy onto steel and was a real bugger to wipe down if it came through the joints. If you heat the resin in a bucket of very hot water first it makes it a bit easier to spread otherwise it'll be very tough, then it'll take overnight or slightly longer to set. Just make sure it's well washed/raked down or your heart will be broken trying to scrape it out of the grout. You'll be needing gloves and new sponges every day too.

its good to work with dave thing to remember with epoxy is your joints have to b perfectly clean before you start as any adhesive grins through and shows up horriblyi,the grout goes into the joints fairly well using a hard rubber epoxy float and you and you need to emulsify the grout with white pads wipe down with a sponge with warm water if you can ,i like to use detergent in the wash water and finds it really helps,final clean down i use fresh clean water and synthetic chamois cloths which take away any residue , I would allow 3 sqm per 5kg of epoxy on 20x20 glass mosaic but would check with mapei technical before pricing it up as I may be out with th coverage
