Marble floor / limestone floor

id have thought limestone would be less durable and more prone to wearing?

Depends on the limestone.. Bastille for example is really durable.

Live and learn... hopefully it won't be a mistake. Have the Ditramat down and will have a crack at laying some stone tomorrow with luck.
Have sealed it with one coat of Mattstone - managed to get some of it on the edges. Is it worth sanding the edges lightly or will the grout still stick?

Got a few tiles down:

Seems to be going ok - prob finish at the weekend (with luck).

Getting them all plumb and level but sometimes there is about a half millimetre or less that is slightly higher than the surrounding tile. I've been running a small bit of wood between the tiles to see if it catchs on the lip. Nine times out of ten I can get it so it flows between them (so all four sides are level and flush ) but on the occasional one the best I can get is about a half mil.
Is this bad? Should I be spending more time getting it perfect or is that close enough?

Been thinking about this and would like to pick some up at the weekend.
What is a good make & type & colour to go for?

IMO Mapei Jasmine will look great with those tiles.

Thanks Dave - is that a sort of off-white grout? Looked at some beige grout but think it will look a bit wrong - am thinking off-white or white (will soon become offwhite...)

Ye it is off white'ish but also mapei have just released Limestone grout as well now..
