Well, what can i say...

I was on here looking for advice on my bathroom tiling. After being given answers to all the questions i'd asked (thanks again), i'd started to realise that this bathroom was a much bigger project than first thought and decided to put up an advert for a tiler willing to use my Ardex kit that i'd already got for the bathroom walls and floors. After about 12hrs i'd had a response from "marky" or MD Ceramics as is his business name.

He called to introduce himself after a few private messages regarding the work involved and we mutally agreed that he'd come over and price the job in the next few days.

After sitting down and discussing the work involved, Mark then offered some thoughts on how the work can be done with the materials i had and what was and wasn't possible etc....He measured up, took the details and costed out the work..Before i knew it, i had a tiler booked in to sort the bathroom out in a fortnight which gave me enough time to finish off a few plumbing issues and some suggestions Mark had made.

When Mark arrived on the Monday i'd already been booked out for a customer visit in Newcastle which would see me away from home Monday through till Wednesday evening. The wife works 8 till 6 so this meant Mark would have to have the keys to the house to lockup in the evening. This wasn't an issue at all for us. I can imagine that this is something the usual tiler is familiair with which is "Trust"...i'd imagine you get this all the time..

Without having to give Mark a CRB as he walked through the door...I trusted him from the offset. I didn't know this guy from adam and was prepared to let him into my home, but from what he said to how he approached the questions to his general behavour all i can say is that he's a great bloke, bit of a family man and a grafter and very trustworthy. Sometimes we hit a snag with my own DIY skills..but he overcame the issues with professionalism and helped me out a great deal..He even put the recycling out for the cardboard boxes!!

Top Bloke, top Job..fantastic pric and the bathroom looks better than i imagined and i'd recommend him time and time again...

Brilliant stuff. I've given him a couple of tags I'm sure he'll appreciate. ;)

Just need lots of advice from him now and I'm sure he'll be elite too soon enough. :8:

I wouldnt bet on that Dan, Mark comes on here and quietly reads and asks advice now and again. he has a family and I believe they are priority so multiple posts from Mark are unlikely but still a great bloke. So pleased for him to get recognition for his work.

No problems at all..I've got some photos which ill upload over the weekend.Once Mark had finished the bathroom i still needed to put the shower on, towel rail plumbed, toilet, basin + ped and the screen...

Again thanks to the forumers for all the info on my previous posts.
Mark had said that the Ardex grout was pretty good and that the Ardex X77 floor adhesive was top stuff too, so not to bad on getting that direct from Ardex.

Mark doesn't have a website as yet but i did suggest that we have a chat in future if he feels he would like to pursue it and i'd look at designing him something to get his name out there.
