Just looked at a splashback job and the customer wants white 200 x 100 flat, not bevelled.

Problem is (as I can see) is the measurement between the worktop and the horizontal angle bead on the window cill is 215mm, which will become about 225+ after the cill is tiled - she doesn't really want a small cut there so is there any way round this - with trims perhaps?

Wouldn't that make it 170mm after the second row is complete? leaving about 55mm up to the cill tiles?

I've taken plasterboard cills off before and re boarded with 6mm hardie to get over this problem

Yup. As mma says. Another plasterboard thickness on the cill will make it even.

You could try and persuade the customer to have them vertical. 😀

Seriously, yes alter the cill if you can - that would be the better way to go I think by the sounds of it.
