Slurry coat with rapid and sbr or mechanical grip primer?
Original style say s2, and it definitely sticks to them

Original style must have changed their spec then Harry, it used to be Keraquick and Laytex plus only, on decorative glass tiles, it’s the only thing they’d guarantee for the vinyl backed tiles.
Whilst an S2 would probably be ok, I’d probably go a bit further with a bottle and bag adhesive.

I've got tyrolit (I think that's how you spell it) in my grinder and got a briccolina wet cutter ... also got siri pro snap cutter - that should do shouldn't it? When scoring and snapping which side should you do? Cos isn't the green backing like a mirror sticker and the glass bit is actually just see through?

What I’ve done in the past is mimicked the scribe cut with a Stanley blade cut on the decorative backing. This way you get a clean crisp cut on the back too, without the backing fraying.
You will have to have a joint, you can not butt them together, glass has a very high heat coefficient and they will expand and contract at the slightest change in temperature.
It will cause nothing but tears if you butt joint them.

Think you're right with them speccing Mapei 2 part but I'd be happy with an s2

There’s no reason an S2 wouldn’t work mate, only thing you have to watch is an adverse reaction between the decorative backing and the adhesive.

Quickest way might be to speak to tile manufacturer and get them to tell you exactly what the backing is made of, then take that info to your chosen adhesive manufacturer and ask them to approve your choice and hopefully email you to confirm it. (Blame it on client)
If you can’t achive this on speaking with them, test it yourself.

Fitted the mirror tiles today.

So for cutting, siri snap cutter worked a treat but wet cutter finish wasn't up to scratch, thankfully the cuts will be begin the sockets!!

In terms of adhesive rather than take the risk with a s2, I used 6 tubes of this stuff

The tile size was 7.5mmx20mm so I blobbed 2 dollop of the silicon on the back which squashed to probably 75% coverage when bedded in.

I feel like a bit of a cowboy tbh, but I didn't want a phone call down the line saying there's been a reaction between s2 and the backing.

I just wondered if anyone had any thoughts on how strong the bond will be? The reviews on screwfix say it's super strong and pulled the plaster off. It's designed for hanging massive mirrors at 100mm centre 10mm beads.

I've left it overnight to set, using kerakoll grout tomorrow as I've been advised it's one of the smoothest so less likely to scratch.

In this instance the customer had purchased the tiles from eBay!!!! So was struggling to find any sort of answers regarding the above. I had to make a start on the job today, hence why I went down the mirror adhesive route. Just wanted to let you know I hadn't ignored your answer/input, it was much appreciated.

Seen many a problem with the backs of mirror tiles reacting with cement based adhesive. I personally would advise using low modulus Silicon or epoxy. But you really need the check the suppliers or manufacturers recommendation.
