I just mix it to how I want it. Sometimes when doing a 'hilly' floor I need to have the addy thicker than usual. It's all done on texture....no scales required. I also mix everything by hand i.e. no power tools.

you not find that hard going?
No, not hard going, as I mix enough rapidset for about 2sqm at a time. Then again if I was any faster at laying the tiles then I would probably invest in a mixer. But then again.......most domestic jobs i.e. bathrooms & kitchens are quite small. Cheers Sean

DO you mix SLC by hand as well then?
