Did mention this last year, but thought would mention again, if you want free mixing buckets for your adhesive or self leveller or just for washing off water, then make a trip to your local swimming baths. They should let you have the Chlorine tubs they usually throw away.
WARNING These produce highly dangerous fumes. Take caution when handling. Keep van windows open for ventilation when transporting. Wash out immediately when home with plenty of water.
I love em, have about 25 in my garage at the moment

Catering establishments are a good source for these as well. They are not quite as hazardous as chlorine buckets.

I have had to clear out a rented property of ours.

The tenants were very nice people, but they did leave it in a bit of a state. One of them works in a cafe at a nearby tourist attraction and seemed to have acquired buckets from there. I've got about 5 Cadburys Hot Chocolate buckets that I would have normally chucked away.

One of the families who run a pub in the village use them for general building. Both the father and son are builders by trade and the son is using his spare time to renovate his house. I think they use all they get.

Another source is a UPVC window company. They get the rubber gaskets delivered in them, and often have little use for them afterwards except for storage, and you can only use so many.

here's one for ya all. ever need 25ltr water container for cleaning off, mixing up etc? well you can get them for free from your local garage that has a car wash. they come filled with soap. they will normally set you back £5 upwards. there always happy to get rid of them. I used to get loads of them for my work.
