I use these, wear out quickly on hard tiles, for those we use the wet cutter but these are great on most tiles we use

OMG!!! How dare you have an opinion on a product. I'll have to add you to my ignore list now!

:D

On a more serious note I've never tried them Martin but I do like the porsadrill cores. Will have a look at the montolit ones.
Nice to learn of this ignore list option, I don't get on with the plumbers at work looks like my issues may very well carry on to forums as well

I don't know why anyone would come to a forum and feel the need to block/ignore other members but there's one member who's now making it seem a good idea. Although apparently you can't block moderators or admins ;)

Took the plunge and bought the 6mm drill bit and tried it today. Don't know about everyone else but I go through 6mm bits really quickly regardless of cooling etc. I used the Montolit bit on Ston-Ker tiles today which are pretty hard and it went through them very quickly. I know that the bits are described as wet or dry but I decided to keep dipping the bit in water to cool it down. So far I would say that it is the best porcelain drilling solution I've tried. I just hope the bits last a while as they're over £50 each.

Finished a bathroom that was tiled in Ston-Ker porcelain tiles which are pretty hard. The FS drill bit lasted for around 30 holes. Got to say, for £50 drill bit I'm a little disappointed but on the plus side it did get through the tiles very quickly. Some of the holes only took around 30 seconds and I kept cooling the tip of the drill too. The smaller drill bits never so I would still consider their larger cores as the speed was impressive
