ok,....im usually dealing with no more than 300-450mm.....so im thinking initially i could dive in and try a used monti out ,,no real risks..then should the need arise i would feel confident to buy a new 63 or something of that size...or if im not to struck on monti's...go for the sigma...its just that ive never really used anything amazinng tile cutter wise and i hope to be blown away with the monti...would be a nice introduction to a good tool...im my limited knowledge...monti and sigma would be what id go for...id be happy to narrow it down cause for the last 2 weeks ive been like a demented dog looking for a bone..:mad2:....so many brands...but i could sleep at night using sigmas and monti's....id adapt!....so im wondering if the older version might be obsolete now(the monti)..or maybe it never needed all the bells and whistles..i kinda prefer the look of it than to the newer model

The old model is worth more than that, it looks in good condition and will last a good few years so maybe £80 - £120 depending on how much you want it.
As for the Sigma knob problem, This was a previous where someone dropped a tile on the knob, thereby breaking it....Had it been a Rubi the machine may have be written off

lmao:lol:....o live the banter!...i see loyal fans of your chosen cutters!!...maybe there are distinct differences between them all..i wouldnt know!...Also...does anyone know of a good book that describes how to set out walls and floors?,,,datum liunes etc...or could one use there own judgement..Or r there certain rules that always apply from the onset of tiling floor to ceiling?...i was wondering where would u put a full tile? could u place it upto the ceiling then have a half cut at the bottom?...i know ceilings arent true so maybe allowing 5-10mm gap would allow a full tile to the ceiling...
