Moving floor tiles

There is methods of injecting a glue or adhesive into holes drilled in the grout available.
I know Steve AKA tenchman has used this system before successfully.
But with the possible serious amount of space below your tiles there could be a lot of material needed to do this.

My worry would be as some have come loose will all the others follow it could only be the grout holding down the tiles. Best of luck

I have an old circular saw I bought from B&Q about 8 years ago, the box is ripped, the saw blade is blunt, but based on this information I plan on taking it back for a full refund now that I've had my use out of it. 🙂

seriously though.....I may invest in one of those, I can think of a few jobs it would have been useful on.

thanks for the picture and the advice. I shall have a go and lets hope it goes well.

Cheers everyone who contributed to advising me

Regards....

Well Scott,
worked well. Removed grout with a grout removing knife (B&Q) then lifted tile with a glass lifter as advised. Guess what I found. Adhesive didn't stick. I could pull the blobs off the floor and off the tiles with my hands. No chisel, no hard work - just pulled off. Adhesive is brittle, can snap the blobs. Anyone heard of that? Talked to my builder and he says that the adhesive is at fault. Have to take this up with the supplier now. Unbelievable - guess that's why the tiles were moving!

the adhesive may have been mixed wrongly or had additives mixed in wrong ratio.if the tiler coudnt lay the tiles properly did he mix the addy correctly? i agree the real solution is lift tiles, clean off and start again. hard work but a solution.

will take some tomorrow and try and post them - I'll need them anyway for the 'conversation' with the supplier!
