My day was pants today...

two bad things to moan about:

One was that at 3:30pm today while nipping out to the van for a bag of rapidset flexi, I realised that I had infact loaded up with self-leveller this morning. Not much use at all for fixing the last bottom course of tiles. Also not worth driving home for, so I finished early and left a slightly miffed customer.

Number two is a customer witholding over £500.00 until I return to fix a "slightly leaking" tap. Which certainly wasn't leaking when I left it. The punchline is that she isn't coming back to the house for 2-3 weeks, so I can't sort the leak and can't get paid. Great eh?! Think I'll take her stopcock tap off while I'm there and charge her to come back out and sort that one out. Naturally the water will be off.

I had to remove the toilet to tile the floor.

I do too and make sure they sign before I start - only this one lives in London and decided not to be in the county on the day I completed. I have a feeling this is going to go on and on and on and on......

send her another invoice adding 8% and tell her due to it not being your fault you cannot get in to the property to fix the problem you will add 8% per week for late payment. i bet she is up next weekend
