Self-levelling compound, does it not self-level?

Now there's a can of worms :lol:

Some do, some are better at it than others, some are partial levelling. Bottom line is you can create a 2% fall quite easily even with a good slc.

It does if you mix the correct amount of water, if it had to go onto falls just for the sake of covering wires then common sense tells you to mix a little thicker, better still use tile adhesive for that area.

What happened before the tray formers were available? we laid the falls ourselves, never had any problems as yet.

I think that's what I'm getting at. I'm sure I'd struggle to get the rest of the room all level and at the same time, retain the right degree of falls in the shower area, I was looking to see how the experts overcame that, tx guys...........:thumbsup:
 
Thanks to all you guys/gals for your responces to my q's the gear for my wetroom/bathroom is starting to roll in ,one major dilemma whether to lay ufh wire system on my 1300x800 wetroom tray(impey) or not.

Before giving you a yes or no and letting you steam ahead the first question as you are DIY and its Impey must be

What's the make of tanking system and whats the ufh wattage ?????
