Your a tiler dan?I've never used these but was always of the same thought. And I've said it loads.
But it does seem many use them. And it does appear to help with the huge tiles that are just easier to mess up if one slips it can cause a half hour head ache.
I was tiling before these were out. I'd stopped before these even existed. Not a tiler now matey no.Your a tiler dan?
Ahh never new mate just thought you ran a bunch of trade sites lol. Staying on topic about these, i cant see how these can improve speed, technuiqe Or most importantly a guaranteed solid bed without having to lift each tile until satisfied?I was tiling before these were out. Well that was a conversation killer.
I've got a tub of the lash clips in the van that I bought for a recent 850x220mm plank job, they were a bit bowed (as seems to be the norm these days!) and I tried them to help twist them a bit, the long tiles do have a bit of flex in them, I only used them for a couple of rows and found they weren't great for what I needed so reverted to my normal method. I'm going to get a raimondi set to try next as they have the pliers to tighten the wedge where the lash system doesn't and I found it difficult to get enough pressure. I know they will be useful for large format tiles (say 900mm and above) as they do bend and flex, especially the thinner ones that have been bedded out.
Here's my plank job, flat as a snooker table!
It's no big secret , so I'll share! I just use red wedges under all 4 corners then force the middle of the tile down, I usually find I can get 2-3mm worth of bend. A double spread of adhesive on the ends (but not in the middle) helps too. I'm sure the tile can take that little bit of flex, probably not advised by the manufacturers but, if that's the way they feel they should make flat tilesThat's a lovely job mate!
Looks really well!
I noticed u dropped in ur post 'your normal method!'
Didn't divulge tho did you! Haha
Yeah I know, u could tell me but u'd have to kill me after!

I'm always trying different things/methods/tools to hone my skills, some things work, some fail miserably! I know the levelling systems have a place in our trade, I just need to find one that works for me. Those who stand still will get left behind. That's how I do it mate. Seems certain things with Us tilers are done by instinct and not shown by someone else.
Rubi wedges rule!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
