From looking at some of the distributors, it seemed like it was an optional extra! I need a box for everything, if it ain't got a box, it'll get broken somehow!

Yes it is optional, in 10 years I have never damaged my Sigma!

your the same as me bri i like to have boxes for all ,my tools and i must say the sigma box is expensive but worth it .to me anyway big blue box equals sigma plus 1 wheel equals about a year

As you probably know I cant see by the Tomecanic Supercoup at the moment and I have tried all of the above and more.

Ok, thank you all for your thoughts so far, I would like to get a little more specific if I may. Im not going to go with Rubi as i want to have a try with another brand and I have rubis that I will continue using. I have been offered a good price on a Monti master puima (thanks to one of our members ). What are your guys views on these cutters? Would it be wiser to cough up for a sigma?

gotta be honest, I'm very tempted to try a sigma and when my tx700 wears out I'll probs give a sigma a try.
