I am about to completely gut my kitchen and re-fit it. At the moment it is Vinyl fllooring on 80% screed and the balance is toungued and grooved boarded suspended floor. The boards are 25mm thick and closely screwed down. I want to ensure that there is no relative movement between the wooden floor and the screed after it is tiled and I was proposing to use Schluter DITRA matting bonded to the floor prior to tiling.
Would this be the best way to successfully carry out this task? I want a 'Rolls Royce' job and do not want problems in the future.

Hello and welcome to t/forums........

You will have to put a movement joint where the two substrates meet....this can be a pre-formed joint( trim) or a cold joint(Silicon).....and if you use the Ditra mat then it will to follow through to the tiling as well............
