you could put the new marly tiles straight over it if its level if not prime and use self level compound and maybe rub with a carbon brick if theres any high spots or burs then your marly tiles,the glue for laying them is sticky stuff you need to know what your at unless its the sticky backs

Would advise going over the whole floor with self levelling compound to ensure that you get a good adhesion for the new tiles.
