You will need to remove this

Its a standard trap for a shower tray, It is not a high flowing waste

Mcalpine will do a proper floor gulley that can be set into the floor

I think your right by the look of it i will have to dig up the screed and reform the tray in sand cement. only have 4 days to do the hole job
