Hi Folks,

I'm a DIY tiler (and most things around the house).

This weekend I'm re-tiling my shower with a mixture of large 300x600 tiles and mosaics.

Taking the old tiles down I found that some of the timber framing had rotted so I've made good and sealed it.

Following advice here, I also took the opportunity to line one wall (which was really too far from the tray and was rough, with Aquaboard - though for space I had to rawlplug it straight to the wall (I thought I'd struggle to line up all the screws to the holes, but I managed it somehow).

Just getting ready now to start the re-tiling.

I've already had most of my many questions answered by reading past Q&As so thanks very much for that.

Cheers

hi uggsie hope you changed the whole frame?water can get anywhere, happy tiling

:welcome: I hope your using/used a cement based addy, as your tiling "large Format" tiles? and didn't seal with PVA!!

Thanks for the warm welcome 🙂

I was hoping to have had the shower at least nearly finished by now but with the wet rot (Chopped out the rot, treated and pieced in new), and the tile shop sending the wrong size trim (8mm profile for an 8mm tile), which we had to skate around and replace on a bank holiday Sunday, I'm all behind now.

My brother has lent me his wet tile cutter which is helping a lot.

Thanks
Uggsie
