Evening All

Thanks for all those that responded to my questions about starting up,your info helped me make up my mind and go for it!!

I have enrolled on a 6 week tiling course with Diamond training centre in Sussex and from October I start my new tiling career :O)

Any help and advice you guys can give would be great, I am putting my business plan together at the moment and it would be good to make it as robust as poss for the dreaded meeting with the Bank Manager

Tiles..............i've seen it..................it's the future

lol

cheers Lee

p.s how do I gain entry into the tilers arms? Or does the young Jedi have to wait until tiles have been laid?

Lee - I can't help you into the bar for a drink just now its something to do about posting and getting involved!
These next 6 months are going to fly so don't hang around with your planning.
Run your ideas past the Forum and keep asking about other peoples threads and you'll soon be corrupted with drink!
My only advice would be - don't start any business off in debt.
Why would you want to tell any Bank Manager how you intend to run your own business when they have shown a complete disregard for anyones business.
A business plan will be based on you having a proposed income based on you doing a certain number of jobs in a certain number of days etc. If you listened to the first political debate this week none of the 3 main party leaders had a clue to next years economic situation so how are we supposed to plan.
Learn as much information as you can, try to find some on site experience, start small and within your capabilities and save as much as you can to see yourself through 'that' difficult phase.
Good luck.
