BARRONBATHROOMS

There is a few types of tanking. It is a way of waterproofing your substrate. As you have plasterboarded the walls I would recommend a liquid waterproof membrane. Try mapigum you can paint on or apply with a trowel. It is important to tape all corners and were the boards meet. Also we're the boards meet the bath/tray/floor.
