:yikes:
It is what it is.. So, the bathrooms you rip out, usually have Silicon filled movement joints in the corners?

Yes, most do. These ones I am often asked to replace due to changes in personal tastes by new owners or wanting a new suite.
Dare I say it, but the few I am ripping out that have no Silicon are often being ripped out due to bad workmanship elsewhere.
Precisely my point. Thank you 😉
ha ha ha but you have not been doing the job long enough to know what youre talking about lolWell in 40 years never had one floor pop with grouting to the skirting.
Hahahaha.....I was making a point also!.......in that when I see no Silicon in internal corners that this is a tell tale sign that there is poor workmanship elsewhere and these are the reasons people are having a rip out. This trait together with cutting slots in tiles to accommodate pipes are a couple of most tilers pet hates!
.Corners, be it wall or floor joints are denoted by British standards as movement joints and therefore require a dedicated movement joint that serves purpose or a Silicon bead.
