Nightmare removal!!

Any thoughts folks, I have come to remove a set of tiles from a plaster boarded bathroom. They have been tiled previously tile on tile and the adhesive is so thick I have never seen anything like it. No ribs in the adhesive just thick and lots of it. As a result the plaster boards walls are getting seriously messed up as I'm trying to bolster them off. The client is away on holiday and am not sure what to do. I could potentially go on top again as I can see no way of getting them off with destroying the walls.

Any suggestions?

Is it dot and dabbed plaster board or screwed to stud? Best plan is remove and replace, it will be a little easier if it's stud work.

As above, simply rip out and replace...much quicker.

I never remove tiles from plasterboard.... just rip down plasterboard and replace, much quicker and a nice new surface to tile to.

Just pull it down and take pics as you progress to show customer... if you are worried about not getting paid for extra work then i agree, leave it till they come back.. but this close to xmas!!! then a decision might have to be made if it is to be finished by xmas..?

can you not take pictures and send it to them by text, they can give you an answer and agree surely, I would not leave it until they get back, im sure they have gone away while you do the bathroom, id replace plaster board, dot and dab is easy enough.

sorry, I don't just tile I do the whole thing, plump, tile, plaster, yes yes I know so Im not a professional tiler, but i have work until march so I cant be that bad !

No one is questioning your ability, it just looked like a picture of you standing on the bath while tiling, not ripping out. No offence meant! You'd be surprised what we see on here.
