No Roast on Sunday!!

Well the wife is doing a 12 hour shift on the maternity ward today, and will not be back until 8pm tonight. And I'm a bit of a traditionalist and always have a roast on Sunday...Well today i thought no point just for me and the 2 kids, so i cooked a Chorizo and chickpea stew in the slow cooker..Well the kids love it, and i must say it was pretty tasty...Told them not to tell the wife just in case i end up cooking all of the time..:lol:

Had to take the wife out today after upsetting her on here yesterday!
Sunday lunch was the best Sweet/Sour chicken strips I think I've ever had!
Hope you are going to take her out in a couple of weeks for Mothers Day!

kids were at at a birthday party this aft, so went to the pub, watched the match, hot steak double baguette with chips, washed down with a few pints of 'bow, just had a hot shot pizza for tea, and helping that down with a glass of red..... no driving in the morning for me:smilewinkgrin:
