The wall is high and the tiles don't reach quite half way up so I am concerned that if I rip the tiles off and find a rubbish wall then I'm replacing a huge bit of wall if the boards go all the way up. We're not talking about a normal room height wise.
Tiling is tiling mate - didn't get into it to spend half my time rebuilding someone's house for them. If you fellas are happy to do it then fair enough, just not something I am in to ... yet.
Would you up the charge for rebuilding the plasterboard?
You don't mention if the walls are on stud work or brickwork, studs no problem. If dry lined remove and dot and dab no problem and charge extra, Or tell the client to get someone to do it for them, you may find if water has passed thru the grout joints the plasterboard It'll fall apart anyway, And no you have'nt cocked up your not a plasterer, your there to tile if he wants the other work done get some else in to sort it out, after 15 years I should imagine it going to fall apart anyway, Karma and a few tinnies
