Hey guys, I'm not in the trade. Just a casual in other words. I'm trying to do some research to find the best of all worlds (Water based UFH in a wet room) for when I eventually get my home renovation started. There really isn't much information out there in 2020. Either you have a wet underfloor heating or you have a wet room (with electric UFH).
My question is this. If w-UFH is intalled, covered with a cement board (I have been told by one company that their board has a k-value of 0.2 which means its pretty decent and conducting heat through it), the cement board is sealed with the appropoate sealant/tape/fastners and then it is tiled on top.
Theorectically, the water wouldn't seep straight away and any moisture on the floor will be evaporated away by the UFH?
Is that not the case? Please help me understand..but in English. I don't get Tileish.
