is there such a thing? I've opened up a can of worms at home by suggesting a viccy/geometric floor in the hallway. I showed some of Phil Hobsons work to the Mrs and she was agog, apart from she'd like Mother of Pearl tiles instead of white:mad2:. I've resigned myself to the fact that I'll be cutting down large format tiles to be able to afford to do it.

I only tiled it 4 years ago Jamie, herringbone wood effect tiles. Must say though, it was me that fancied a viccy floor:thumbsup:

certainly not Victorian John, about late 40's I'd say, but I'm re-doing the hall, stairway and landing and will probably run my own cornices etc. Might seem a bit pretentious but the hallway is quite large and Mrs Doug has fancy plans for it,,,I'm just the cheap labour lol!

You can definitely mix new with old, it it's done right Doug. Not sure about pearlescent though, might be pushing it a bit far, you'll be putting glitter paint on a feature wall next - Don't give the missus ideas
