is there a plastic notched round trowel available suitable for floors when doing UFH, heard b&q do them, are they any good? what size nothes are they?

I always skim over with SLC so as not to damage cables. Also gives extra benefit of distributing the heat more evenly.

SLC for me.....plastic trowels eh!!!...make sure you buy a few ..it might snap......

And yes B&Q sell them......

yea i used SLC, but you still see the cables on the surface of the SLC, cant have put enough on ?? so i don't want to damage the UFH with a metal trowel?? am i being a fanny?

PlasPlugs make one. I used one with WarmUp loose wire and BAL Fast Flex and it was fine - it would definitely have lasted more than one job if I had bothered to clean it up . Found it in a local tile shop and it only cost a few quid.

You should get one for about 2.99, if you take a file and file down the edges of the u shaped notch it doesnt catch the matting as much, make sure all your products are flexable by the way
