Dear Forum,
Yet another job request.
This 1 is 7.5sqms of Porcelian flooring using 400x400 and 22sqms of Porcelian 600x300 for the walls. This is 2 rooms. Ensuite and main bathroom. The ensuite will be fiddly, but the bathroom is nice and open.
The floor is striaght set and the walls is in brick bond.
All preps have been done, with no funiture in place.
My last job went high and i think that have blown it.
I've work this out to be around £737.50 all in, at £25 sqm.

Any help/advice will be great. Thank you

i would of said around £570 at £20 m2+mats

A couple of questions (if you dont mind)

1. What area are you from and is £25 to much for a m2????
2. There are no mats to go in on this job, but the ensuite will be a nuisance.

Hello albert,from the northeast mate,suppose you would get what your asking for,but £25 a m2 at 25m2 comes to 625,thats what i`ve work it out at,but if you can get more go for it

Sorry mate, there seems to be some confusion.

The job is for 22sqms of wall using 600x300 porcelain and 7.5sqms of floor using 400x400 porcelain.
Both floors are straight set and the walls are brick set.
The en-suite will be a fiddly git because it will be going around a divide of about 500mm each side and also their having 1 section behind the toilet and sink going up half tile and the rest will be full tile, even the ceiling comes in at 2 different hieghts.

i would have charged 600 plus hourly rate for treating the tiles if they need sealed,but i know around the south you will get away with your prices so go for it mate.

Why dont you ask if they want UFH and get yourself a nice little earner?

you might have problems with lipping on 600x300 porcelain on brickbond as some have a slight curve in them so when on brickbond where the middle of the tile has a curve inwards the edge of the tile will curve away from the wall

Thanks for the advice.
I phoned the builder this afternoon to try and find out where they were getting the tiles from, and offer a bit of a discount but they just were'nt interested and it sounds like its going to be a pig. Considering im new to this game, i think i need a nice splashback or something will do. Experiance certainly counts for something. I might just over price the job, but the builder is on the look out for a tiler because his regular guy is retiring.
