The butech grouts are made by Mapei, that info came from a Mapei rep. It is very similar to ultra colour, sets quickly, needs to be mixed precisely and has to be washed off within a certain time frame.

I use a lot of grout 3000 all my local tile shops are selling it now, it has a smooth texture and it's a flexible wall and floor grout it's defiantly more like bal, i like it a lot to doug I grouted a 40m trav bathroom in jasmine last week nice stuff to work with

I seem to recall about 5 or so yrs ago I fixed some slate for a customer and they supplied the addy and I'm sure it was Tilemaster. I've since been back to tile kitchen floor in same slate and it was all still there so I guess it can't have been too bad!

Might have a look to see if any local supplier stocks it and give it a try

It's reasonable to work with but certainly wouldn't be a first preference to use as there' a bit more effort in it. I have a few full bags of the Butech grout in the garage left over from about a year ago and have never lifted them for a job. Says a lot. :lol:

Although the Butech adhesive is very good, would rate the Super One highly.

i like mapei grout and silicone, weber adhesive and i do use ardex sometimes, i have a supplier in my town that holds all mapei and ardex products and weber adhesives and as many sealants etc that i could possibly need, dittra mat and have just taken on granfix.
used porcelainosa a couple of times and didnt really like it but its what your used to i suppose.

Have you used bal grout? I find it much easier than mapei!
